Ever wonder what Windows Vista has that XP doesn't? Or how Windows 7 improves on both? Sure, you can head over to Windows.com to see a comparison of the different versions of each individual OS, but rarely do we get to see the three stacked up side-by-side--and rarer still from an IT perspective.

This sounds like one of those insert-your-own-joke-here setups--which may be why Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols swung at the easy pitch in authoring The Five Best Things About Vista SP2. We won't spoil his opening, which is certainly good for a chuckle....

Note to bloggers, journalists, and everyone else with a keyboard: It's over. The Vista-bashing parade has ended, so get out of the street already. Calling the OS a "loser" or "lemon" at this point is a surefire way to embarrass yourself.

Microsoft revealed that Vista was adopted by more businesses in that two-year timeframe than XP was in its first two years. Not a ton more, but that certainly flies in the face of nonstop "Vista was a failure" assertions.
